sometimes I wish I didn't need so many watts, things would be much easier LOL

Gee, right now I only draw 100 watts at full load. Hopefully I can get a GTS 250 soon to replace the crap-tastic onboard GeForce 7025.

It's terrible. My 6570 overheated, so I threw it in the snow (no more overheating!) and now I have a 22-inch 1080p monitor being used at 1360x768. It can't even play a BluRay movie. :(

I got summoned here.

 

If you go the fan replacing route, do what I did the last time I did it in my rig: don't attach your power to the PSU. Instead, just break out the complete fan header (all 4 wires) to the motherboard. That way you have absolute control over the fan speed.

 

I'm running 5 NF-F12's in a system that has its sidepanel of and (apart from the pump) the system is inaudible until your head is inside the case. Even while gaming, I can only hear at night, when the whole house is silent.
