Hello,

I have a corrupted hard drive I would like to reset. Unfortunately, disk management and diskpart crash whenever I try to run them with the hard drive plugged in. Is there any way to reformat the hard drive when it seems to crash any application that has to do with it?

Thanks!

What do you mean by corrupted?

If those programs crash, the hdd is probably dead, and there is nothing you can do.

Whenever I try to access the drive it says it's corrupted (in windows explorer). Before everything started crashing it would pick up the drive in both disk management and diskpart. Now, nothing works at all.

that drive seems dead. I have had many a hdd fail, and thats a pretty common failure mode.
