Wondering whats better to get?

Hello there LTT, its been quite a while since I've been on here.

 

I recently bought a second hand PC which has the follow parts:-

 

i7 8700k

Corsair H100i

MSI Krait Gaming Z370 motherboard

16gb DDR3 Corsair 3200Mhz

500gb WD M.2 SSD

1 TB Curcial P1 M.2 SSD

Aorous RX 5700 XT

 

so basically I know that the Krait is a budget orianted board but I want to upgrade it as well as the CPU cooler for overclocking. 

but I really don't know where to start first, should I replace the mother board or just get a new cooler.

 

for the motherboard I've been thinking about the GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS Ultra, and for the cooler I've been thinking about the Kraken Z63.

Just keep it as is? That board oc's fine and your current cooler is already really good.

Not really much point. From what I remember the 8th gen isn’t soldered so unless you’re gonna delid you’re gonna be thermally constrained or lose the lottery before the board can’t push any more voltage.
