China Operating System: China's answer to Google, Apple & Microsoft goes belly up

China's state funded dreams of an indigenous Linux based OS went up in a plumb of highly toxic cloud of mercury rich smoke. Red Flag, the developer for the brilliantly named "China Operating System" filed for liquidation, as employees are seeking to sue the State owned Chinese Acadamy of Sciences for 15 million yuan in unpaid wages. 

 

The company's HQ was forced to close in December due to unpaid utilities and rent. At least we can be content that the unpaid bills didnt result in this. For the first article that I posted on the mobile version of this OS, click here
