I basically have two computers.

One gaming Rig, and one Mac.

I work on both, but only game on the gaming Rig.

What would be the ideal desk/furniture and switching/keyboard/mouse/monitor setup?

One option is to work with one screen and switch between the two devices. Even if you get one keyboard and one mouse for both devices, it's kind of annoying to have to do the switch. Especially with the monitor, you have to enter the menu and select the other input. Then wake it up.

I think I would be better of with two stations close to each other for the two computers.

But should I put them on two separate tables, or in one mega dual table?

Can you show me your setups of two work computers(one also gaming)?

My setup is two keyboards, two mouse and one monitor. Probably the worst setup.

I bought a logitech mouse that can switch between the two PCs, but it is cordless, and it got annoying. I also bought a Wireless logitech keyboard but didn't realise it doesn't have the switch between two devices ability like the mouse.

So when I work on my Mac, I rather stay there, because it's painful to switch back to PC.

Oh yea, my experience with KVM is bad.

Maybe modern KVMs are good, but it's kind of bad.

KVM literally disconnects your devices, so it gets annoying that all the devices needs to be redetected.

Also, for some kind of reason, KVMs in the past had really sucky button that always broke after long use. Also the fact that you need to press a physical button and not the keyboard to swtich, but maybe that changed.

Personally I use two rigs at home, and 2 at work.  In both situations they are independent and have their own everything.  This works most efficiently and best for me.

Workstation Laptop: Dell Precision 7540, Xeon E-2276M, 32gb DDR4, Quadro T2000 GPU, 4k display

Wifes Rig: ASRock B550m Riptide, Ryzen 5 5600X, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6700 XT, 16gb (2x8) 3600mhz V-Color Skywalker RAM, ARESGAME AGS 850w PSU, 1tb WD Black SN750, 500gb Crucial m.2, DIYPC MA01-G case

My Rig: ASRock B450m Pro4, Ryzen 5 3600, ARESGAME River 5 CPU cooler, EVGA RTX 2060 KO, 16gb (2x8) 3600mhz TeamGroup T-Force RAM, ARESGAME AGV750w PSU, 1tb WD Black SN750 NVMe Win 10 boot drive, 3tb Hitachi 7200 RPM HDD, Fractal Design Focus G Mini custom painted.

I use a capture card to have everything on one screen, you still need a keyboard and mouse for each device, but that's all shifted to a corner with usb extensions

Basically everything you said has changed. Just depends on what kind you buy.

Both rigs should have their own monitors, keyboards, and mouses. Just use them independently.

That being said, unless you use some software that only exists on Mac, I don't see why you wouldn't just do everything on the PC.

Ryzen 1600x @4GHz

Asus GTX 1070 8GB @1900MHz

16 GB HyperX DDR4 @3000MHz

Asus Prime X370 Pro

Samsung 860 EVO 500GB

Noctua NH-U14S

Seasonic M12II 620W

+ four different mechanical drives.

Which table/desk you use though? The furniture is also part of what I am interested.

Two identical desks at home (bought many years ago from Wal Mart), one large L shaped desk at work, that was just installed so is some high end furniture company - just a lot of surface area to use to have this setup.

For furniture I would first find out what your bounding box is for size in your area you are interested in populating it with
