You could probably do just fine with something like a GTX1050/1050Ti or GTX 1060 if you are playing older games. Keep in mind that CPU will not run many titles well. You can find the 1050/1050Ti for a decent price brand new or used. I was at my local Best Buy not too long ago and the Zotac 1050 went for about 150 bucks (Canadian). It also does not have an external power header, all the power to the card is supplied by BUS from the PCI-E slot, so no additional cables required either.

It wouldn't be a bad way to go, and at least when you decide to upgrade the motherboard, CPU and RAM, the card will still perform well enough to get you low/medium settings in most games, depending on the path you choose.

Upgrade the power supply when you can, you'll want something you can trust versus a no name with who knows what components inside, also not knowing how much longer it would last. It would be a sad shame to go spend your money on a card and end up with a bad PSU, destroying your components. You wont need a high wattage one for the specs you have.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 9070XT Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X470-F RAM: Corsair 32GB Vengeance 3600Mhz PSU: Corsair RM850X White

Cooling: Corsair H115i RGB Storage: Samsung 970 Evo NVME (2TB) Case: NZXT H500i White

Keyboard: Corsair K70 Mechanical Mouse: Logitech Superlight 2

So you could go up to a GTX 770, GTX 780, GTX 950 or even GTX 960 (maybe with 10 percent performance loss in some games) but I would also look for a quad core like a q9550, that will make a pretty big difference in modern games and also support the gpu a little bit better. I am running a Xeon X3360 (same as a q9550) with a EVGA GTX 960 SSC at mid to high settings 1080p slightly under and sometimes over 60 fps in games like GTA V and even Fallout 4. Important is to look up those GPUs, some older models had weird versions with 64 bit buses, don't go below 128 and you should be fine. If the power supply is over 5 years old I would replace it. My system currently draws about 370 Watts including monitor, router and gigabit switch. Upgrading to 8 GB Ram might also be a good idea.

I was thinking about the Xenon cpu, but dont know if its good for gaming. Will the motherboard handle a GTX 960 or even GTX 1050\1060,because in some sites it says, that it is comptatible upto GTX 690 and it doesnt list the higher models ?

So the Xeon is basically a Q9550 with ECC on the L2 Cache and ECC memory support, which does not really matter. For gaming there is no difference. I bought it new in 2009 when the Xeon model was 20 bucks less then the regular one. I am on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 and I have no problems with the graphics card. Your EP-43 board has a PCI-e 2.0 interface, that's actually better than mine, which is a 1.1 interface at only half the bandwidth.

According to Gigabyte, your board actually supports 16 GB of RAM, mine only supports 8 GB. Not much sense in upgrading to 16 GB though as hungry games like star citizen will still be slow due bad code and lack of cpu performance.

Ok thank you very much for the info i will try to get a GTX 780 or 960 and 4 more gb of ram and then go from there. The power supllly shoud be next on my list.

What about amd r9 380 or r9 290x are they going to be a good replacement?

Yes, they will be. You can find them used on Ebay.
