PIA Abysmal VPN on Windows 10

Hi, 

 

i normally have listened to what you folks say about different services and think, “If Linus is willing to throw his name behind a program, it has to be good.”

 

Well, after attempting to use PIA on my completely updated Windows 10 Pro machine tonight, I have to sincerely question LMG’s advice. PIA  may well be a sponsor of your programming, but their customer service is, in my opinion, abysmal.

 

i would like to think I’m better than average in terms of problem solving. Nevertheless, I couldn’t get over an error I received on installing the 64-bit version of PIA on my machine. It installed right to the end and merely spat out an Error. I contacted a Nicole P. at their support and she suggested I enter some scan and SONOS file and folder scan exceptions on my Norton 360 Premier Application and promptly ended chat. I did, and still no go.

 

I contacted them again, and got the same agent who then told me to try and install the program in safe mode. I demanded a refund. If they can’t program a VPN more effectively than that, they don’t deserve anyone’s money. I demanded a refund and that was that.

 

What actually is a VPN client that works properly out of the bkx, so-to-speak?
 

Totally disappointed and disgusting with PIA!

I use Express VPN   . The UI is a bit old fashion., but works.

Did you try this first before demanding a refund? I was able to install the program without issue (Windows 10), but I have no anti-virus software (likely the reason why the agent is saying to install it in safemode, as antivirus software does not activate there)
