My previous videocard was an RX 580. Good card, never had issues with it.It's just that I have a 4K screen, which requires more GPU power.

It wasn't exactly quiet during heavy operation, but that is because it's a power hungry card and I had an adequate (but not great) cooler on it.

Not sure which is the best option for it.

pulse have a smaller cooler, one less heatpipe if I remember correctly, and slightly lower frequecies but it's still a good card.  There's some comparison on youtube between the pulse and the nitro that you can look into.  I would go for the cheapest sapphire ones or the powercolor red devil.  If you can find an rx 590 for the exact same price as the rx 580 then go for it ... as a lot of people say the 590 is just an overclock 580 so it's probably not worth paying a premium for it.

I have the rx 590 nitro+ special edition and it's performing really well.  It can run hot (75 to 85 under heavy load) so I suggest to make a custom fan curve for it if the noise doesn't bother you.  It was on sale when I got it about 1 year ago and paid the same price as I would have paid for an rx580.  I wanted to get the gold one but the price never came down.

Do pulse good ?

I had a RX 580 pulse, unless you have excellent case airflow it is going to be really loud (even at AAA 1080p60).

I just returned a Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 8GB because of coil whine after 6 weeks. Apart from that noise it was an excellent card for the price.

Software and drivers are not the best but once you get used to them you learn what to do and what not to do.

There's an automatic overclock feature in the radeon software which does a decent job.

I've got the Powercolor Red Dragon RX580 which is most certainly a budget card but it works wonderfully. I've never had any issues and I've used both the 8gb and the 4gb models that came out of a mining rig.
