www.cpubenchmark.net changed CPU Ratings!!!!!!

These processors currently on your site say the average cpu passmark is 5640 and 5573 respectively.

That is KNOWHERE near the marks I have been using for them, obtained from the cpubenchmark website over a long period of time (from 2017 to last time I check was about 4 months ago) which were  8311 and 8122 respectively!!!!!

 

This means they have randomly dropped their score by a whopping 32% - which means their site and data are now utterly useless as I cant depend on any numbers they provide!!!!!

 

Why have the benchmarks of these processors suddenly dropped like Jeffrey Epstein’s jaw!!!???????????????????

 

Same for the 2760QM which has dropped from 6557 to 4260?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?

 

What am I missing????

 

PS - I contacted cpubenchmark.net but they have ignored me.

You already could not depend on this site's data, it's just another aggregate data website in a sea of aggregate data websites that provide, at best, general glimpses into what could be true of relative performance.

Hmm - yeah I didn't know that

 

But, Linus and others rely on sites like that so maybe, if  Linus could be arsed to be interested, he might be slightly pissed that a benchmartking site, just changed tll their benchmarts!!!!

Hmm so you "solution" is to depend on anotgher sites data?

Maybe joining the cry for them to explain how the hell they could reduce scores by so much???

So if the consensus is not to use that site, what sites should I use to be able to compare cpu speeds, in order to decide which one to buy?

Could always watch performance and comparison videos by folks you do trust, like GN, Bitwit, Paul, Hardware Unboxed, and many others.

You can't just use a single website with a bunch of bullshit scores. You need reviews with real data and performance metrics. Look up Gamers Nexus for relevant info. These benchmark sites in general dont have good enough testing methodology to accurately score CPU performance
