Beyerdynamic T90 "vs" Audiotechnica Grandioso

Focux

Same price, both used. Love the fact American Cherrywood is used for the Grandioso. Both seem to be stellar. Any ideas? Plan to use them for music genres that are piano, metal and female vocal oriented along with rock.

I use the Fiio X3 and the M50 atm. IEM's are the Sony XBA-40 and the LG Quadbeat 2. Actually planning to pick up the new dual dynamic IM70 from AudioTech to replace the XBA but thought I'd ask here :)

i am fine with both, but closed would be better suited as i tend to stay up late..

I would recommend T90 all the way, but it's open and that might be a problem for you.

why's that? any experience with it?

T90 is one of my favorite headphones right now. Great details, generally flat FR, easy to drive, and has very 'fun' sound. I enjoy using it to listen to female vocals and rock.

However, it does have a peak in the treble, around 9k to 10k I would say, which leads to a little bit bright and for some people, 'fatiguing' sound.
