Alright, Next Problem

ive rest the cmos at that looks good. now ive tried to install linux mint onto my 2 SSD in raid 0, I guess it worked but when i try to restart I cant boot into it. I tired to see if i could wipe the SSDs using linux demo mode and I think I screwed one of the drives up. it now registers as "unknown". also, i no longer get the Intel raid screen prior to the bios screen to check if it is still registering as raid 0.

but I the intel raid screen doesnt pop up anymore. can i just throw each one, one at a time, into my main rig, that I am using to type these post, to wipe each drive individually?

yeah, I would try that. Why do you need 2 SSD's in raid 0 btw?...

what do you plan on doing with it?

HTPC, game server, NAS. yes I know I dont need to set up at raid zero as SSD will provide enough speed but anyone can just install to a single drive. I want to try raid 0, setting up a server and telling my buddy "bam server running in raid 0 with 10tb of storage." yeah i got an ego

I have one drive connected. my main rig is running win7. im looking at the drive in disk management. the only option i get here is convert to dynamic disk. is this what i want?

no, just format the drive

@Jaybird i like the title of your threads regarding your server problems, which is not to say that i am laughing at your problem and i like how the title has relaxed since the first title. First title....Alright, Major Problem....second thread, Alright, Next Problem. I doubt you screwed one of your SSDs up it just needs formatting. Also, RAID 0 is not the best to use for this as there is not fault tolerance or redundancy, RAID 5 or 10 is what i think you would want although it would required more drives.

haha, naw i knew nothing perminately broke. I just reformated about 15 minutes ago and installed mint on one drive for now. from what it looks like, I cant achieve faster speeds by setting up raid 0. most of the boot time is waiting for the bios screen to disappear. after that it is at desktop in about 2 secs. I guess since i got something stable now i can start my build log.

Once you are up and running i am glad. The BIOS screen display time can be reduced but it may hamper with getting into the BIOS in the future.

I didnt see an adjustment in the bios settings but I assume it can be done in terminal?
