budget

[ buhj-it ]

noun

an estimate, often itemized, of expected income and expense for a given period in the future.
a plan of operations based on such an estimate.
an itemized allotment of funds, time, etc., for a given period.

adjective

reasonably or cheaply priced: budget dresses.

verb (used with object), budg·et·ed, budg·et·ing.

As should be extremely obvious to any eukaryote, the word "budget" refers to the adjective

How about this OP.  Lets call it "budget" as in an amount that would be less than one month of rent where you live.  So in most of the USA less than  about $1000  or less US.  Including everything monitor, keyboard, mouse.    The type of thing it might take a few months to save up for... has some good upgrade options in the future.

So I did this.  Going for a more expensive Mobo and powersupply but a chaper AMD processor with a IGP so I can upgrade.

I wouldn't build this particular PC since ... if I was going to do that I would cannibalize parts I already have.

But of course actual builds would be better for a thread like this.

* thread locked *

There's a section for builds ;

https://linustechtips.com/main/forum/18-new-builds-and-planning/

But then we don't allow for "fantasy builds" or "list builds for X amount".
