12x optic zoom for xperia z

i just bought this little bad boy

it only costed around 20 euro's/25 dollar's

 

 

it comes in a little sliding box, when you open it, you are inmidiatly confronted with the lens and the tripod, we will set that aside for a moment.

under the plastic molding where the lens and tripod isplaces, there is a cloth/suede bag, in it there is a mounting case, mounting ring, quick start guide and cleaning cloth.

let's get back to the lens.

the lens is made out of solid aluminium, it feels strong and of hight quality, both sides (where the glass is) is protected with rubber caps.

on the lens, there are 5 black, plastic rings, they look very nice with the aluminium, the front 4 rings are for focusing and the back one is for looks.

the tripod is also made out of aluminium with rubber tips for extra grip, the only con i can find is that you can't rotate the entire top of the tripod, only to one side. (whatever it's only 20 euro's)

the case is made out of plastic with a sort of copper ring around the camera where the lens screws in. to keep te phone from scratching, they added a little flimsy plastic protection piece where it screws against.

the picture quality is amazing, the colors are accurate and crisp, the only downside is that the edges of the pictures are kind of distorted.

also, because of the tripod you can take pictures without worying about moving the phone.

you can't zoom in with the lens, you can only focus with it, because it's standard 12x zoom.

i understand that, but for 20 euro's/25 dollar's it's a nice upgrade

Seems kind of dumb, but different strokes for different folks.. (I'm sure 3 people will find this useful)
