Asus Essence STX ii no sound

AlexDuthil

Hi everyone !

I have a ASUS STX ii on my new ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING and i got no sound out of it...

I search on the internet but nothing...

When i push the ASUS software to 300/600ohms for the gain setup i got a little tiny sound out of my headsets ( tried 2 different, same results )

I tried many things

- desabled my motherboard integrated audio system

- changed PCIE port

- changed the molex alimentation cable

- installed the ASUS driver 25 times

I'm desperate...

Hope some of your big heads can help me !

Thx a lot,

Alex

And you're sure that you're plugged in the right port in the back of the card?

Have you tried with a different pair of headphones or different speakers?

Did you select the right output as "default" for Windows?

I sincerely hope that you don't suffer the same faith that I did with my old STX card (loud noise warning)... If you ever do get that issue, get rid of the card ASAP, it won't get any better. Ever. Save your hearing. (And yes, it affect STX II as well)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200

If there's no sound and the hardware is properly connected, check if all the right options are selected on Windows' sound menu. See if you connected the headphone on the right port as well on the back of the card.
