Hello,

I'm almost done building my PC.

I just need to install the GPU that I do at the end and the fans.

I already have 3 out of 6 Corsair LL120 fans mounted to the case and those are connected to the Lighting Node CORE that was pre-installed in my Corsair iCUE 465X case.

Each fan has an PWM cable, but I'm not sure were these should be plugged in.

My mainboard is an Asus Rog Strix x570-e and I think I failed.

I added a triple pack of Corsair LL120 to the build and didn't thought much about it.

So I have 6 LL fans instead of 3 and I think I don't have enough headers.

Is that right?

Your board has 2 CPU fan headers, 2 chassis fan headers and 1 M.2 fan header.

Assuming your CPU cooler only need 1 header, that means you have 4 headers left, for 6 fans.

Get two fan splitters (one fan header to two headers), so you can connect two fans to two of the headers directly and four fans are connected to two fan headers with a splitter each.

Or if you don't want to use the M.2 and CPU_OPT fan headers, get two splitters that go to three fan headers. Now you can connected six fan to two headers, using two splitters.

In this case I'd recommend you buy a PWM fan hub for all the case fans. If you're running an AIO watercooler you should use the fan solution that it provides instead of the hub. Then just plug the hub into one of the case fan headers on the motherboard.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

Thank you very much. I have an AIO that uses the CPU_FAN header.

I guess I'd use only the CHA_FAN 1 & 2 headers.

So I need two splitters that go to three fan headers or a PWM hub like @Uptivuptiz said.

Do you have any recommendations for good splitters or hubs?

I have an AIO (Corsair H100i RGB Platinum) that uses the CPU_Fan head. The AIO includes two ML fans which are directly connected to the AIO.

@minibois said that splitters are an option aswell and since I never bought PWM splitters or a hub before I wanted to ask if you have any recommendations which to buy?

---

I could connect 4 fans right now to CHA_FAN 1 & 2, CPU_OPT and M.2_FAN, so I could already use the PC till I get the splitters/hub.

Does it matter if I use fan 1, 2, 3 and 6 (on the Lighting Node CORE) or do I have to use 1 - 4?

Thank you very much.

I got one of these and it works fine for connecting three fans to it:

https://www.amazon.com/EKWB-EK-Cable-Y-Splitter-3-Fan-2-Pack/dp/B078G53932

It's a two pack so you're all set.

The difference is mainly that with a fan splitter you can only control all three fans at once, while with a splitter you can control them separately.

I don't have experience with fan controllers (except for the Corsair Commander Pro, which seems overkill for just fan control duties. So don't have any other recommendations for hubs.
