noise problem with my Cpu cooler

Hello,

 

When idle my Cpu cooler gets stuck in a loop of ramping up and slowing down. Its not by any means spinning fast but the difference can be heard. Same when a program is being started, it stars spinning faster for a brief second. Could you hint me a sollution? Thanks a lot!

Its working as it should be, for example u say it spins faster when a program is launched well thats because the CPU is getting taxed more for a few seconds.

But it ramps up for like half a second, isnt there a way to make the sudden temperature spikes not affect the fan speed?

Proberbly but i wouldnt recommend it as its there for a purpose to cool your CPU and prolong its life span.

What cooler are you using ? You can set a custom fan curve with some coolers software

Set a custom fan curve in BIOS with a slight curve over time, or no curve until hot and then major curve to cool it down.  Up to you on what works for you

Cooler master has software as far as I’m aware for their coolers, download that and check your fan curves, edit if needed

If you have trouble with BIOS, you can go with mobos own software. If that fails you, there are couple 3rd party software.

Uh, what? Thats makes no sense. 1) They have be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4. 2) If Cooler Master has its own software, its most likely for AIOs with USB connection. Air coolers only have fans which connect directly to motherboard.

an AIO would make more sense to stop a fan ramping up.

 

This is the reason i went for my AIO cos the Ryzen AMD Fan i had with my 2700x sounded like a freight train passing through when i was playing games.

Fans ramping up and down is all about how curve for speed adjustments is setup. Same goes for fans making noise. AIO uses fans too, so you can end up with similar issues if the config is not working.
