Hi all!

Just curious what you guys think about my build since i think it is "Done" for the time being.

The GL850 is my main monitor for gaming and i use the UD69P mostly for my Playstation 4 (because it is 4k) as well as connecting my MacBook to it when doing some programming since i like the extra screen space it gives me when tilted 90 degrees. It also functions as  my secondary display.

I will post pictures probably tomorrow since then i will get my dual monitor arm and when i installed that i can call it "Finished".

I am curious as to what things you guys would change or what kind of recommendations you have still might have!

This is complete list of my specs:

rate 1 or 2 rigs? since a laptop is a rig?

Aside of this, i'd give it a 100% as it is pretty much my rig :P peripherals and laptop aside.

Gamesystem: X3700, 32GB memory @3200mhz, GTX1080 Hybrid

Unraid system: Epyc 7352, 24/48, 96GB ECC buffered @2666mhz, 2x GT710, GTX1050Ti

I have some suggestions:

1. You don't need a x570 motherboard, pick a good B450 and upgrade the GPU t o a 2080 super. Especially the motherboard you choose has terrible thermal performance and should NEVER be used!

2. Switch to 2 x 16 GB 3600 ram. Dual Channel is better and also you can later add more ram. 3rd Gen Ryzen profits from faster Ram, so 3600 is the sweet spot rather then 3200.

Out of curiosity: Why a 2080 and not a 2080 super?

Looks nice, but why pay almost 30 bucks for thermal compound.

You dont need 5,5Grams for just 1 CPU get the 1gram variant for under 10 bucks. (even with that you can do 3 or more CPU's)

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

It has been an evolving build, i bought the 2080 around feb 2019 when i was still running a 4770k. I only recently switched to AMD lmao.

it's fine for the 3700x, but the vrms get really hot. if you ever want to upgrade to a 3900x, you won't be able to, as it can't deliver enough power.

Well, that is a fair complaint i gotta say. Didnt expect that for MSI. Not planning on upgrading to a 3900x tho :)

yes, it's weird. they have the best b450 boards, but the worst x570 boards.

The 860 qvo drives are pretty cruddy ssds and for a little more you can get ones that are a lot better.
