Do earbud mics work on computer?

for example I have a pair of these:

 

 

they come with a mic, does this have any use connected to a computer or online works in android phones?

You need one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Position-Headset-Splitter-Adapter/dp/B0058DOWH6/

Specifically a 4 pin 3.5mm plug. One female to two male.

 

(That is if you want to use the earphone and microphone functions at the same time, if you just want to use one or the other, you can just plug it into the headphone or microphone port).

i dont really want to use the microphone, I want to actually disable it at least on the computer, it didnt detect any drivers or anything so im not sure how this works

If you don't want to use the microphone, just plug it in the headphone jack of your PC, either on the case of the back.

Then just go into the Windows settings and set it as the output device (right click the sound button on the bottom right, in the system tray > Open Sound Settings > Choose your Output device on the top)
