Hi guys,

I just build myself a new PC ! Last time I did so is almost 10 years ago and I wanted to upgrade from my i5-2500k and that 770. Lul.

Here are my new parts ;

- Ryzen 7 3700x

- Asrog crosshair hero vii

- XFX dd ultra rx5700

- G.skill ripjaws V series 2x8gb 3600mhz 16-19-19-39

- Seagate firecuda sshd 2tb

- Seasonic prime 750w

And here is my problem.

When I boot the PC, the cpu fan run for 2 seconds then stop.

I at first booted without having my 12 volt cpu connected to mobo and the cpu fan was working good but obviously the cpu couldnt boot.(nothing on my screen).

So I took 2x4 pin cpu to psu cable to power it. Ive read somewhere that the alone 4 pin had no need to be powered unless heavy OC.

Now PC boot saying cpu fan error. But it at least boot and I have something on my screen and can acces bios.

My GPU fans also not working but I guess its right since no drivers or load ?

I plugged the gpu using 2x6+2 pci-e to psu. Since theres no integrated graphics on this mobo guess its powering fine (I can see bios). I also have 2x blue leds indicating "correct power" but I wonder if I could have fucked up cause I removed the strange oem power cables (didnt use them)

What am I doing wrong :(

I didnt try to boot up Windows from portative hdd cause having 50 celcius on cpu temp sucks  and it went up as high as 70 when the fan was completly stop so I dont wanna dmg the cup.. I had to plug  cpu fan in chan 1 to get to fresh air to mess around in bios..

I attached how I powered the 12 volt and gpu.

Hopefully I get some fast answers :)

Thank guys

graphics card fan not spinning is a fault of Navi's fan control, I guess you can RMA for it?

Happens for the newer 5600XT still

So Gpu fan would be suppose to spin on startup. And my wiring is good ? So id need to RMA.

But what about the cpu fan ? Seems so simple but im fk** up.

Can you try the following?

1. Remove GPU - test boot

2. Remove 1 stick of RAM - test boot

Does the system make any beep noises for indication of an error code?

Is it also possible, that during the process of the build the CPU fan got legitimately damaged?

It won’t boot without a gpu ?‍♂️

If it had integrated graphics it would
