i posted about this in a different section but managed to rule out my gpu and the cable causing the issue, and the monitor is new so i hope thats not the problem. ive been having an issue lately of seeing colored pixelated dots and resolution changes. whats weird is that its only when i open a game and try to play o.o i did a driver update on my monitor before all this started and went to roll back the driver only to see that i dont get the option to do so since it says there was no past drivers. can anyone walk me through doing this manually?

Description very vague.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Monitors don't have "drivers" per se. They have INF files in Windows that simply tell the OS what resolutions they officially support, and what image color correction profile to use.

If you're seeing pixelated dots randomly (Eg screen is dark but there's a dozen colored pixels lit, usually in same part of the screen, but goes away when the game isn't running) that's usually a sign of an issue with the GPU still, however it may not be as critical as say RAM or GPU failure, it might simply be the cable is too long, or has been kinked somewhere. Like the exact problem you state here I've seen happen when I ran some devices through two HDMI switches. But I've also seen it happen on AMD APU and Radeon chips cards.
