3800X vs 3600

a wonderful evening to all of you ?

i found a second hand R7 3800x online, with bill and guarante (bought on black friday) , for 250€

will i see noticable improvement in gaming over my 3600 to justify getting it and selling my 3600 afterwards for 150€ish?

i am a little torn on if i should get it given my system works fine. but for that price i feel like i kind of have to...

There will be very very little performance uplift for gaming since the greatest majority of games only uses up to 8threads and since both the 3600 and 3800X have the same cores in theory they should be equal.

It can still improve a tiny bit though since you have more resources at hand meaning that OS and side/background applications won't fight as much for these resources improving multi-tasking.

You can check this video below for more information.

If You are able to make the change without spending great deal of money, I would say: do it.

3800x has better 1c boost clocks, and of course two additional cores. I assume it may come handy on the long run. I would give it a try, if I were You

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )

As the 3800x is "only" 250€ compared to 360ish new, and I can easily sell my 3600 for 150€, as other offerings are higher, the upgrade would net me 100€

I guess I'll do it then.

Many people (irl) told me to beware b/c it could be a scam as the offer is really good. Anything specific I can look for on the cpu itself? Would I notice if one had replaced the ihs?
