Any one here have this case, either the normal or rgb SE version and could measure the space between the PSU shroud and the top of the case? I need to know the vertical clearance in this case.

Thank you

Vertical clearance? As in CPU cooler/graphics card height clearance? Because with 7 PCIe slots it is not going to hold XL-ATX boards like the Gigabyte TRX40 Aorus Xtreme that needs 8 PCIe slots of space (even though it can go far enough on the sides to hold E-ATX boards)

I am trying to fit a PS3 motherboard in it which is about 12.8 inches tall when standing vertically on the PSU shroud, since it is losing the shell, it might lose 1/4 inch or so. From measuring pictures on photoshop, I get roughly 13.06 inches from shroud to top so I wouldn't be able to fit top fans without offsetting them with the included radiator top rack and pushing the motherboard close to the backplate which I wanted to avoid.

I saw the Full tower version of this case but it has a smaller front window, too much big for my desk and has a bunch of hdd cages that i definitely don't need. I want to be sure I can fit on the mid case or if I need to go to a full.

I started looking at $60 cases, now I'm poundering buying a $110 case, I will try to find the shortest case that fits XL-ATX board, it would be so lame if I need to go with a full case.

Yes, launch model CECHA01 I bought back in 2006, I want to do something to cool it before it dies, It won't have a PSU and shell so I might lose about 815 g from the PSU, up to 1 kg total. I wonder if the shroud would hold the weight with a PSU installed or if I'm better off looking for a case that has top PSU and I can put the 4kg PS3 assembly on the bottom
