New build/upgrade

Kaymax

Hello everyone!

I've recently moved to the UK and don't plan on getting my trusty "old" PC here and just leave it back home. But I still need a PC and I don't like laptops, so building a new PC is the only option here.

Here follow the guidelines, my starting point is my old PC, which has:

Ryzen 5 1600

Gigabyte AX370 Gaming 5

16 GBs 3200 Mhz
GTX 1060 3 GB

1 TB HDD & 250 GB SSD

I could just build the same thing again, but I've been wanting to upgrade for a while now and move onto 1440p as well.

1. Budget & Location

My budget is about 1000-1200£ give or take, might stretch it a bit more if necessary, but obviously I'd rather not. As mentioned, location is UK.

2. Aim

Mostly heavy gaming. Demanding games, maybe some VR or video edit as well.

3. Monitors

1 or 2 monitors, I only play on one but always loved the utility of a second monitor, though it's not really a must right now, I could just buy it later on. 1440p, possibly not 60hz

4. Peripherals

I might consider peripherals, nothing too crazy though as I already have something in mind.

5. Why are you upgrading?

As mentioned above, I've recently moved to the UK and don't plan on getting my trusty "old" PC here and just leave it back home. But I still need a PC and I don't like laptops, so building a new PC is the only option here.
