No audio driver?

I have a MSI z270 m7 gaming MOBO with an I7 7700k 16gb ddr4 ram and a gtx1060. Well ive always used a headset stand that has audio through usb and it finally bit the dust last night. I tried to plug my headphones into the back of the mobo and on the front of the case and no audio. just the audio from my monitor. I tried downloading the Realtek audio driver from MSI and no luck it shows its installed but wont show up in device manager. also tried to download it from Realtek themselves no luck.

Go to the mobo manufacturer website and look for the driver download.

ive already done that it shows its installed in programs but not through device manager

turn it off and turn it back on?
