TN isn't the problem.

30Hz is the real problem.

I only read the TN part, not the 30Hz

I don't think the tn panel would be that bad guys but this wouldn't be a gaming monitor probably a productivity monitor or content consuming

I think it's more the high price and lack of IPS that drives them off, not the TN alone.

If it were like $400 - $450 and TN, I'd say that's more than acceptable.

Nearing the $800 mark (at regular price) I expect something a little better.

They have no competition driving the price down, I'm surprised its this cheap to begin with.

What really is there other than games that run at more than 30 FPS? I've always been under the impression Youtube, Netflix, etc are all 24 FPS. Lets face it, the monitor was never intended for gamers.

30 Hz

I bet you could OC it to atleast 50Hz, assuming you get a good one.

Try setting your monitor to 30hz and try it. Mouse movement is laggy and weird. You can get used to it but its kinda hard to use.

The panel itself can do 60hz (should be the same as the one Asus will use) but the inputs don't have enough bandwidth. I think the most you can do over displayport with out MST is going to be around 40hz.

Displayport does support 60Hz 4K.

Display port MST does but the dell monitor doesn't support that, it's just regular display port.

Dell fucked up really really bad this time. Though it claims to have 1.073 billion colours but with a tn it makes no sense. Also, 30hz... 30 fucking hz.
