Brand new build

Go to solution Solved by boggy77,

need to place them in 2 and 4. enable xmp and manually set dram voltage to 1.35 (sometimes there's a bug and auto doesn't work).

if still doesn't work, try changing frequency to 3000 or 2933. 2000 series ryzen sometimes doesn't work with ram higher than 3000.

Good day,

I just got myself a new build:

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Wraith Boxed

Asus PRIME X470-PRO

Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK32GX4M2B3200C16

Corsair RM750x (2018) Zwart

I tried to enable XMP to get it to 3200Mhz, but the motherboard restarted 3 times and entered safe mode, stating that the last bios edit was not gonna work.

I turned off the PC and reseated the RAM sticks, without success. I tried to manual turn off XMP and set clock to 3000, did not work, yet 2833 did work. I started memtest and got the following errors:

Is this memory related or could it be the CPU?

Can misplacing the RAM modules cause errors in memtest?

i will try this later!
