Looking For Some In Ears

I've been looking for some in ears and i found these

http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-CX-880-Isolating-Premium/dp/B009QV3NBM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367170691&sr=8-1&keywords=sennheiser+880

looks like a good deal but not sure and i'd probably spend some more on a desktop mic

I was also considering the steel series flux in-ear pro's

http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-In-Ear-Headset-Gaming-Music/dp/B00BHSTWRQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367171000&sr=8-1&keywords=steel+series+flux+in+ear+pro

the money i save will be used for a mic, so can any one tell me which has better sound quality?

for reference I'm currently using these and the sound quality is less than acceptable

The Flux In-Ear Pros have one of the best in-line mics I've ever encountered, but that still doesn't mean I think any IEMs should be used for gaming with their in-line mics... Get the cheaper IEMs, get a desktop mic and do a favour to everyone else who has to listen to you.

I've been using the Flux In-Ear Pros for a few weeks right now and I'm VERY pleased with them. They sound great, they're comfortable (I even sleep in them) and they're well built. Recommended.

Everyone is raving about the new Hifiman RE-400. They do not have the bass that some people want for music but you're using them for gaming then this could be send as a plus. $100 as well you would give you some extra money for a mic.

The CX880's would cost me ~$60 and that with a stand alone mic is what I'm leaning toward right now but i can find very little info on them other then a few short reviews from websites I've never been to before. I'm tempted to forgive it though because Sennheiser is very well respected as an audio company. i only have a little over $100 to spend so these wouldn't work, sorry if my original post wasn't clear enough.

I would say get the SteelSeries Flux In Ear Pros, they are built really well, and sound amazing.

i wouldnt suggest using earbuds for gaming.

get some good headphones with a mic. if you arent opposed to gettin headphones, i could give you some suggestions.

The headphones would be for gaming as well as music, i probably should have said this from the begging but I've tried a number of around ear head phones and they never seem to fit comfortably while staying on my head while moving around.

The Bose IE2 or MIE2 (with microphone) is a very good option, i've used several sennheiser in ears like the IE6 before, but bose's sound and build quality is significantly better

I've never tried an IEM with that type of tip so I'm a bit hesitant to buy them in case i find them uncomfortable.

If i get a stand alone mic it will most likely be a blue snowball, I know a lot of you tuber's and streamers that use them and they sound really good for what it costs

in case it matters i listen to mostly orchestral music, video game music (arrangements when i can find them), and electronica. thanks for the help

thats unfortunate. headphones would be better for FPS games. if you only play RTS and MMO games then you should be alright with the shallow sound stage of the earbuds. i use the Klipsch S4 and ive been in love with them ever since i got them. great over all sound and satisfies my bass head needs

I wouldn't worry too much. The IE2's come with two different types of tips. They have the traditional and older (without the "wings") and the newer type with the curved part. I've found them to be the most comfortable headphones I've ever used.

The IE2's have a very neutral sound, so orchestral music shouldn't be a problem and i'm using them also for gaming, and after a couple of hours they still sit comfortable in my ear
