what can it run?

peepeepapapoopoo

Really anything?

If you're talking about games, then 1080p around 30-50 fps with AAA games

games that are easy to run should do 1080p 30fps minimum settings or 720p 60fps minimum settings, expect others to only do 720p 30fps. Single channel memory really hurts, and the cheap board and crappy PSU do not make upgrading easy.

and there's also an over 100 pounds profit margin for them compared to ordering the parts and building yourself. Quite a lot when the whole thing cost 450 quid

What games do you consider easy to run?

CSGO, if we're still talking about 3D games people still regularly play. Others like Dota 2, Minecraft multiplayer etc.

That's why you shouldnt use single channel memory when you use the iGPU for speed. Or rather, at all since it also hurts CPU performance but not as much

Do you think NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Super 6gb Graphics Card is a good investment?

For that prebuilt? No. It is a good card I would recommend, but only after the rest of the system gets fixed.

Yep I've priced it to around £330 in parts with a b450 mb and 2x4 gb ram.

Then you would have to factor in an os, not an issue if you're OK with a "grey" license.

If the op is going to put in a graphics card straight away then I would say go with a ryzen 5 and maybe even have enough left over to go with 16gb ram. This is if prepared to do a DIY build.

Now on to the build it yourself. I know not everyone wants to go this route for many reasons, but if I had a friend who was going to buy this then I would say don't do it. Buy the parts and I'll help build it.

As for warranty, yes with prebuilt you get that on the system as a whole. But buying the parts you still get individual warranties.

What we need here is some sort of buddy system. If you have a tight budget and could save on parts or get better than what's available on prebuilt but aren't confident on building then you could post your approximate location and see if anyone close by would be willing to help.

For someone wanting a lower end system I would be willing to do this. If your looking at high end then you can afford to go prebuilt or to pay for the service.

Looking at the ad it claims a lot of upgradability.  I am unsure of how much upgradablity it actually has, mostly due to the motherboard, an asus A320m-k.  I was seeing one statement in an amazon review that it ran a 3500.  Didn’t see one for a 3600. Doesn’t mean it won’t.  Also doesn’t mean the 3500 ran well or safely.  Amazon reviews are amazon reviews.  Newegg has a photo of the motherboard with its specs so VRM might be somewhat more judgable.

https://www.newegg.com/asus-prime-a320m-k/p/N82E16813132977
there are a few YouTube reviews of the board as well which I didn’t look at.

The listed PSU is an aerocool 500w 80+.  It has enough wattage for a gpu to be added later but I have no idea what the quality of the PSU is.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
