Issue with Asus p8p67 Evo audio

Stigmatized

Hello everyone!

I have an Asus P8P67 evo and I am using the onboard audio paired with a Razer Kraken Pro headset. I used to have perfect audio quality and really high volumns.

Recently I have formatted my system and fully installed every driver including the Asus realtek drivers for windows 8.1. The problem is that the sound now is not the same as before, the quality is worse and the volumn is lower. I have tried everything I knew, reinstalled freshly every driver regarding the sound card and the motherboard, tried to change the windows 8.1 sound settings but nothing changed. The sound's quality is much worse than it used to be.

Could you please make any suggestions as to what I can do in order to have the sound quality I had before my format? I have already checked the headset to an other system and it works perfectly so the problem is not from the headset.

P.S Before the format I had windows 7 instead of windows 8.1, I have already tried installing windows 7 instead of windows 8 but the result remains. The sound's quality remain the same (inferior to what it used to be).

did you install all the latest Codecs yet? did you go into the newly installed sound software and play with the settings there? why did you buy asus? good luck.

I have installed klite codecs as I had before the format, yes I actually did play with the settings although before the format I didn't change anything from them. Well imo asus is good :P
