  • Expect to need a fan.
  • You need a path for air in and air out. And without a short circuit air path that prevents decent airflow from getting to the computer.
  • Is the bottom of the desk open (don't need a second hole)? Is there enough space for adequate air flow to get up to the computer?
  • No case? Using the drawer for that? Can you easily remove the drawer bottom and put a custom bottom in, with supports to hold the components but lets lots of air flow?
  • If a fan is blowing air in, you can have multiple ducts on the inside to direct that air to the CPU cooler, chipset, memory, video card, etc.. Same if the fan is exhausting, or just duct to the computer to ensure it's exhausting the heated air.
