Are there drones that can follow another drone?

Paddo

I know it's a weird question.
A customer of mine needs a drone that can follow his other drone automatically.
A little background info: The main drone is used to measure rooftops and other big areas. For an advertising film he now needs a drone that can follow the main drone around since he doesn't want to fly it manualy himself and renting a helicopter and shooting it on a camera is too expensive.

Are there any drones that can follow a moving object like that? Or are there small devices that you could put on the main drone so that the other one can follow that?

I don't know much about drones, but are there types that can follow laser pointers?

I think some modern DJI drones have follow features, but I believe they are designed to follow people or cars, stuff like that. It may have trouble automatically locking on and following another drone. I think you'll need to do it manually, so I recommend practicing your piloting skills or finding an aerial videographer.

Yes there are lots of option for ur guy, but question is on how much mula he will to cough out. Time of flight, conditions, output of signals, licence, and most importantly why he need is (unless it’s a trade secret :) ). Most basic option is parrot ar 1 and coloured strip on a mother drone.
