Lost the option to enter BIOS at startup

Gigabyte x570 AORUS ULTRA Somehow, after an update, there is no option to enter the bios with a keystroke anymore

Maybe some kind of super fast boot in bios was enabled? You still can enter BIOS by selecting option in Windows that enables advanced boot options.

With many boards you can trick it into defaulting and then prompting you to go into the BIOS by hitting F1.

 

Easy to do if the board itself will do it.

All you do is press and hold the power button, letting it power on and then back off. You will have to release it for a moment between "Boots" but each time just press and hold it until it powers itself back down. Usually after the third power cycle it will default and do the F1 prompt at the POST screen. Once you're in you can do whatever you need to, save and reboot once done.

 

You can't trick every board into doing it but for those that will do it, a handy trick in cases such as this.
