Hello all,

I just bought and returned my new alienware PC as I was SO unhappy with 3k I spent on it and now I've finally decided to build my first pc.  I know a little...like how to put in RAM, SSD, and gpu....but nothing else.  I'm so worried about compatibility both between components and making sure everything fits in the case correctly.

here is the link to my build that i want to buy on pcpartpicker https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jobejo64/saved/#view=m6tJf7

If somebody could help and guild me I'd be so grateful.  I'm trying to build a super good gaming build for the next 2-4 years.  Gaming on a 1440p 144hz screen playing mostly rpg's like Outer worlds, Red Dead 2,  and cyber punk when it comes out.

Are these good parts?  Will they all work together? will they all fit in the case?  Are there any good build guides on where to hook up stuff on the motherboard? I dont want a CD drive so how do I get windows on my computer? Really sorry for all the dumb questions just tired of wasting money on pre built computers.

Your link seems to be to a part list that only you have permission to view. PC part picker automatically lets you know about compatibility problems so you should be good if it said you are. As for getting windows on the machine you can make a bootable windows 10 with any spare usb Memory stick that is at least around 4GB. Just download the windows 10 media creation tool (free) and follow the on screen instructions selecting the target usb stick as your media. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

building is easy. Just follow any build guide on YouTube and take it slow and be careful. Good luck!!

new link.  sorry all didn't know it was on private

You're just gaming? If so, you can spend about half of that and get the same performance.

Yes just gaming.  What should I take out?

Here's an adjusted list

You can also swap the motherboard for a B450 Tomahawk MAX if you'd like.

Is the 3700x really the same in gaming performance as the 3950x?  Will the 3700x be good enough for gaming for the next 2 to 3 years?

Well, no. But thhe 3950 is twice as expensive and maybe 10-15 % better in games. So not really worth it
