Could be a bad power switch.  Are you able to make it turn on by unplugging the power switch from the motherboard and shorting those 2 pins real quick with a screwdriver?  OR if your case has a reset switch, plug that one into the power switch connector and see if it works.

Did you make sure all of the power connectors are all the way into the motherboard?

RAM is on the QVL list?

Is the 24 pin motherboard connector fully plugged in? It might be a bit hard to push it in, but it needs to clip in. You'll need the 8pin CPU power to be plugged in as well (not to be mistaken for the 6+2 PCI-E power cable.)

Did you make sure that the power switch behind the Power Supply was on the ON position? And that it is properly plugged into a wall outlet that actually works?

Because usually, if it was hardware issue, you'd at least get some sort of "power" to it, like the LED on the motherboard, a bunch of beeping, fans spinning for a second before stopping...
But you're saying literally nothing happens? That's power related and it means something isn't plugged where it should be.

Yeah I’ll make sure on all of that, could it not just be a faulty cpu or ram?

Are you able to post a photo of the system showing the motherboard area? We may be able to see if something is not plugged in properly that might be causing your issue.

Some general troubleshooting tips for no power:

  • Check to make sure the switch at the back of the power supply is in the ON position
  • Check that the case front panel connectors are installed correctly (see motherboard manual)
  • Check to make sure that all necessary power cables are properly inserted.

Faulty CPU would still have fan spin. Same with RAM. Since you can power on a motherboard without a CPU (Especially that tomohawk has a bios flashback button) and RAM would just spout an error.

If there's no sign of life, it's POWER related, check it.
