Problem js my pc is running rubbish

I upgraded from a i5 6600 to a i5 9600k becuase my bf5 was running at like 40-60 fps medium settings now with my i5 9600k i still only get about 50-80fps which is stupid

Reinstalled windows

Tried xmp mode but pc wont boot if i put it on idk y

130fps on Ultra in BF5? Don't kid yourself, that's hard even for 9900K+2080Ti, even on 1080p.

Well if loads are below 99% on the gpu, that’s the problem.
Something holding it back.
Check per core usage of the cpu.
Also run a benchmark for the gpu like unigine to ensure it goes to 100% usage.

But I have several 1080’s, playing 1080p is stressful for a cpu. Playing black ops 4 it would be 90% on all cores and some maps would hit 100%. Same with modern warfare, 80% on them.
Bf1 did the same with an older i7 on 1440p with the same card.

Yeah I have a 2070 and i7-8750H and I average around 70-80 all set to max. Getting higher than 100 is gonna require some serious hardware. Besides, unless you have a 144hz monitor or something 60fps is plenty.

That depends. Single player I could prolly do 60-80 and be happy.
Multiplayer, I’d need double that, at a minimum. But that’s just how I play. It’s not playable if it’s slow and holding me back.

There's probably something strange going on, maybe check if you have ray tracing enabled etc / lower game options to see if something is causing a problem.

Just saying that your expectations are pretty high when, in reality, you'll probably only be able to sit at 70fps constant - however this is plenty.

you need faster ram with dual channel. 2400mhz is okay for quad channel setups but it'll hurt dual channel.

Well you don’t need xmp. You can change the speed manually.
