Hello. I built my first pc and I’m starting to wish I didn’t. I got everything put together and plugged my Dell monitor in and I get the “display port cable not found”. I’ve tried all of the suggestions I’ve found and nothing has worked.

ive read ppl say “I just updated bios or graphics card driver, or windows.” How do you update anything when you have a blank screen? I’m getting frustrated and any help would be appreciated

i Think it’s booting up. I don’t have the OS yet because the build that I copied had an optical drive and a case that didn’t have slots for it. So I gave windows on a disk.

When you remove the RTX 2060 and plug teh monitor to the integrated GPU, does it work then?

Yeah. Set to display port you mean?

Yes. Also make sure you are plugged into the DisplayPort input port, not the DisplayPort output port.

There is only one port that it fits in

Are you connected to the Mini DP port on the monitor? If so, you've set the monitor to Mini DP input?

Maybe I should try this. What is the difference between mini and regular display port

Nothing, it's just a different shape connector.
