With the stock cooler right now I see 75c under full load and typically 60-65c while gaming, stock temperatures are around 30c. I'm looking to upgrade the cooler and I ideally don't want a heavy, bulky air cooler hanging off of my MB. For this reason I have been looking into AIO coolers and I really like the looks of the Cooler Master ML240P Mirage. It also has the added benefit of being able to see the pump so I'll know if that stops working and I can just throw my stock cooler back on. Currently I can get the ML240P for $140 CAD, does anyone use this cooler, what are your temperatures like?

 

My main question is, by upgrading to an AIO over the stock cooler will I see better temperatures, and by how much? I'm sold on a 240, current case is the Cooler Master Masterbox 5, I would be purchasing the Cooler Master H500 so I could top mount the radiator.

When i upgraded from a stock cooler on my 2700x to an AIO which is also 240mm my temps dropped from high 80*cs to mid 60*cs MAX under load.

You will probably see better temperatures, yes. But that doesn't mean that you need to upgrade your cooler unless you want your system to be quieter or for the looks. The temps your CPU is currently running at are well below safe temps and the CPU should be boosting just fine at those temps.

ML240P is even worse performing than the older ML240R it's supposed to replace. Being able to see the pump is imo, a stupid reason to pay more for decreased performance.
