im planning on upgrading my pc brand new Motherboard, Ram and CPU

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

Ram: HyperX Predator DDR4 RGB 16GB kit 3200MHz CL16

MBD: im not sure what to use maybe Asus Prime X570-Pro Ryzen 3

My current build

CPU: AMD A10 7850k APU

GPU: Gigabyte 1660 super

Ram: DDR3 1866mhz 2x8gb

Get a tomahawk MAX for motherboard, you don't need an X570 board.

But ya, looks fine. What power supply do you have?

You could go with an MSI B450 MAX board to save some money and still get Ryzen 3000 support out of the box but otherwise those new parts you list will all work without issue.

Even better would be a MSI B450 A Pro Max. Basically the Tomahawk but a bit cheaper and (minimal) better VRM cooling

Get a B450 motherboard, X570 is an overspend. R5 3600 is a great CPU choice. And yeah, your current CPU is holding back your GPU.

well 3200CL16 is already pretty decent and cheap. Sure 3600 is better but more expensive, at least where I am from.

Diminishing returns and stuf :I

Speed wise that comes down to the same speeds

see here: https://notkyon.moe/ram-latency.htm

BUT Ryzen 3xxx has infinity fabric speeds tied to ram speed. With 3600 you will max out the infinity and with 3200 you will leave a bit on the table.

Therefore go with the 3600CL18!
