Hi,

I am viewing a lot of tech videos over the years but I never built my own computer and I’m now interested in doing so this week.  I have heard good things about the new amd CPU and 2070 super. That is my starting point, but I am overwhelmed by cases, m.2 ssd, ram options and everything else on pcpartpicker.  Also I am not a fan of watercooling since I heard there is maintenance to it and I am pretty sure I would not be good to install it. Finally, I plan to keep my pc for many years so I see this as an upgrade that is going to last me years.

1-My budget is 2200.00$ Canadian dollars.  And I am from Montreal QC.

2-My PC will be for pc gaming, video editing and other average usual stuff.

3-I am using 2 gsync monitors with the 2560x1440 resolution.

4-I don’t need other peripherals.

5-I am upgrading because i would like to be able to play to the the newest games at high settings and because i started to do video editing.

6-I would like a nice looking case if possible, but mainly the airflow and type C connector is important.  Also, while i find rgb ok, i don’t want to pay extra for it.

I would appreciate suggestions and I thank you in advance for the time you took to read my post.  :)

Ok, if you have a budget of 2200 cad, I have a pretty good build for you. I have something similar to this build, I have a 2700x, crosshair vii, and a vega 56. You can find it here. That is the AMD version, 5700xt is better bang for the buck and is basically the same as the 2070 super with out ray tracing cores. It is also 100 dollars US cheaper. The nvidia version would be here.

I'm in suggesting the Wi-Fi version of the motherboard principally for Bluetooth. The non Wi-Fi version would save a bit.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

@boggy77, Trident Neo memory and the NH-D15 cpu cooler are a sub optimal combination. The outer fan of the cooler overhangs the memory area. In its normal position the fan has only 32mm clearance. Trident Neo are 44mm tall.

Looks good, but you'll need a cooler. This is a good choice https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dMVG3C/noctua-nh-u12s-chromaxblack-55-cfm-cpu-cooler-nh-u12s-chromaxblack
