So I just brought home a Gigabyte Windforce 750 Ti and plugged it in with a VGA-to-DVI-I adapter because my ancient monitor only has VGA. I started my computer and the Windows 7 Aero is causing my computer to slow down much more than with Intel Graphics. I opened up Speccy and it states that my graphics is a "16MB NVIDIA Standard VGA Graphics Adapter (Gigabyte)". Does anyone know what the problem is specifically and how to solve it?

You have to install drivers for it, obviously.

Install nVidia's drivers, you're currently using the Windows generic drivers.

Right, of course. Well this is my first graphics card so that explains my ignorance. Thanks a lot guys, I'll check back and see how things go once I download them.

I downloaded the drivers and it's all good now. I played Insurgency for like 10 minutes and got better results than with an IGPU (obviously). Thanks a lot guys.
