Ryzen 7 2700 OC in an A320M-S2H V2 (B350 chipset)

For some reason i thought it was a good idea to skip 4.0 and oc it to 4.1ghz. Pc made a buzzing noise. Checked for burning marks, nothing. Never overclocked anything since then.

I really enjoy oc but doing it slowly is the key for success imo. My chip is quite good , barely touched voltage and get 4.5ghz with decent temps. But yeah old gen of intel ....

By the way. What RAM do you recommend me?? I haven't bought it yet. I want 16GB.

I was thinking about 2x8 3000-3200 mhz pack.

OK so here's the deal upon my stupid research on that dumb board.....

The main page DOES say the word "over-clock" but through easy tune. So that was no help.

EL02, with claims beyond 3.9ghz without screen shots only has me 90% convinced.

But then later states about bad things happening with the board..... then now at 80% convinced.

So the word support, doesn't mean it's really capable.  By definition, support doesn't mean full 100% guarantee..... that it will work.... or work properly as a 450 series chipset would "support" a 2000 series chip....

That said, I'm still on the fence with the word Support..... but actually doing it part, well that's yet to be SEEN.

3600mhz twins 16GB 8x2

G.Skill 3600mhz look for timings 16-16-16-x-x 1.35v with no funny stuff going on. This is important. You want samsung chips if possible.

3200mhz cl16 would be nice. Any price?

I actually DO NOT want you to overclock 90c at 4ghz idle. Please don't worry about it. Gonna take your word on it, but well, you've seen my point of view there. I don't have much more to put into the thought of the OC adventure on a B350 chipset on A320 advertised product. Seems like a moot point.

Get a cheap B450 board for a 2700. The chipset is designed for it..... end of story, I win again!!
