Where are those at on the motherboard?

You have prebuild or just never build PC? Best place to look for basic answers is mobo manual. You can download one from support page if you have lost your physical one.

Uhm That's the lowest price I've seen on a 2tb hard drive since I started looking. Some guy wanted $1006 for a 4tb... smh

Up to you, but personally I wouldn't buy HDDs used. Look at PCPP for lowest prices, or just browse your local electronics store's things.

Ammar, Is that a good hard drive for like a strictly gaming PC, or just a regular PC?

Gaming PC is regular PC. For components there are no "gaming" anything. Thats marketing term only. Any 7200rpm HDD is good for general use. NAS and long-term storage drives use lower rpm for power effience and the fact that you aren't reading or writing stuff that often, or don't need speed to do those things.

1006 or 106 USD?

Are you looking for a single HDD or a server type of deal? You can have more than 1 internal hard drive, assuming your case can hold more than one.

I would get a WD Blue, Seagate Barracuda Compute or Toshiba N300, depending on what you find most important (speed vs. quietness for example).

The different HDD brands are pretty similar in reliability, just be sure to make regular backups.

a 4TB single drive should be between 100 and 200 USD, 2TB is between 60 and 110 USD. Roughly.

I would suggest watching a YouTube Tutorial on installing a Hard Drive as that could show you like a preview. And check out the LTT First Point of View PC Build as that might also guide you.

I personally am not a gamer, but my suggestion would be that you can get any hard drive as a game drive since all you need to do is load the game.

The only issue with this would be that the person who is need looks to be a beginner, and a bare drive is something that you probally wouldn't want to handle.

The more you learn the better, when you make your own researches you realize that you hardly know everything and that your knowledge give you the instructions to know how to find the answer, because you need to look them up and clear doubts, and not that you already know them all. Even better if this implies a bit of a challenge to him, he will be terrified of thanking himself when he manages to do what he wants.

That is true! The feeling of him being to accomplish such a task will be as you said!

If you have a good budget, you should consider a NAS enclosure like

https://www.amazon.com/TerraMaster-Transcoding-Personal-Storage-Diskless/dp/B07PWDTBJ6

$149

Seagate 4tb

https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-IronWolf-7200RPM-Internal-3-5-Inch/dp/B07H289S79/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?

$99 x2

Put in raid 1, $350 bucks.  I think this would work well for you. You could back up to the cloud for peice of mind.

This device can be used to share files with all your PCs and also stream music and videos to your TV.
