Upgrade MOBO/CPU/RAM or GPU?

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

Firstly, get an SSD. They're super cheap nowadays and will offer a super big jump in snappiness and responsiveness, all throughout the OS.

Secondly, I'd say go for a used RX 480/570, as you can generally find them for cheap and are about as good as your CPU can keep up with.

My specs:

– Asus M5A78L-M LX/BR

– AMD FX-6300 (Stock)

– Gigabyte Radeon HD 7850 2GB OC

– 8GB DDR3 RAM

– EVGA 450W 80Plus Bronze

– 500GB HDD Seagate, no SSD

As you would imagine, this spec is not keeping up with newer games anymore, so for now I was thinking about upgrading my GPU or the MOBO/CPU/RAM set (have to upgrade one at a time, things are expensive in Brazil), but I don't know which one I should upgrade first to see a better jump in performance.

If possible I would like some recommendations on low or mid-end CPUs and GPU as well.

Thank you.

Personally, I'd go this route.

GPU first will give you the most noticeable jump in performance, like boggy said, second hand rx 570 or alike are usually the best value for performance.

CPU probably like an r5 1600/2600 plus b450 board

Ryzen 7 2700X  | Gigabyte RX5700 XT | ASUS TUF B450M | HyperX Fury 2x16gb 3200MHz |  CM MasterBox Lite 3 (Mesh Modded) | Corsair MP510 960GB | Be Quiet Pure Power 11 700w
