Laptop for working with good cpu

Hi guys! I'm looking for a laptop with

• a powerful intel CPU (at least better than i7-4700MQ)
• 16 GB memory or more
• a place for my 2TB 9mm 2.5 inch hard drive
• > 14 inch screen with numpad
• Budget around 1k USD, the lower the better
• It will be great if it is Hackintoshible, but it is not required.

I don't really care much about dedicated graphic card as I game on console. I'll main use the laptop for coding and cpu demanding program.

 

Razer blade 15 looks very promising but I couldn't afford the price ($1699 for 1660Ti basic model, wow!!). Thank you!!

Are you buying in US? Any preferences on weight and battery life?

 

I don't think laptops nowadays can fit 9mm drive, all using 7mm now

I would highly recommend a Think Pad. They have excellent construction and their keyboards are amazing. For the specs that you would want, I'm thinking a X1 Extreme. I personally use a Thinkpad L390 Yoga and love it. One of my friends owns the X1 Extreme and loves it. The price is high, but it will last.

 

I'm not a expert on the lower price range so sorry for not being able to provide a better recommendation.
