Hey guys,

I was almost done with my PC build, when I came to the gpu's cable. I got an 2080 SUPER from Gigabyte which needs 1x 8-Pin and 1x 6-Pin PCIe. My PSU is a Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum 550W. I think it is missing a cable, but I'm not sure bc this is my first build and I might overlook something. I only got two of those PCIe-Cables in the image.

Is there missing any? I think there must be a 8-Pin-6-Pin-Cable or can they be seperated?

Thanks for your help and merry Christmas everyone!

That’s all what you need, two cables, they are 6+2 so on one connect all of them on other just 6 and extra 2 will stay on the side

@Whiro tag or quote will do the trick

8 pin PCIE = 6+2 pin PCIE. With the emphasis on the +2 part.

Depending on if you need the extra 2 pins or not, you either use them or let them hang on the side. In your case you can use 1 cable, that has 2 6+2 pin connectors and for one of those connectors you just don't use the +2.

So I have to put two seperate cables in both the gpu and the psu?

No, you can just use the singular cable with the two connectors on it. Just leave the extra +2 pin hanging on the side.

You could do it with 2 cable from the PSU side, but no need if you cable has 2 6+2 pin connectors on it.

Yeah but this is my problem: I only got 2 cables, each with 1x 6+2-Pin, but there is no cable with 2x 6+2-Pin

Ah, sorry about that, didn't see that in the picture.

Yes, indeed you need 2 cables. Just on one of them you don't use the extra +2.
