Low Frames With 2080 Ti ?

Hello there, I am very confused why I am not getting the top performance of my graphics card.

I did not test on many games as I just got it for christmas. First game I launched was minecraft and I got on a server and Im getting around 80-100 fps. Which is wack asf as this is 2080 Ti. Is there something Im missing here?

 - I already have Optifine on.

Minecraft doesn't care about the GPU used. What CPU do you have, how much RAM and at what frequency does the RAM work at?

If you're playing on a multiplayer server, allocate more ram for MC and try again.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

Lol but i checked task manager and its only using 1.5k mb

Something is holding it back to 80-100 fps. When was Java updated last? What is your CPU usage in game? It's not a GPU intensive game. It relies a lot more on CPU and RAM. Are your frames capped in game settings?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

Nothing is being capped, I have it on unlimited frames. And my cpu is well above the recommendations for the game to run smoothly and flawlessly. So im not sure whats going on.

What did you use for the JVM argument for your RAM allocation? Also, when did you last update Java?

 

Also, out of curiosity, what type of cable are you using to connect your monitor to your GPU, and is GSYNC on?

JVM Agrument I use is: -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=10 -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=10000 -XX:ParallelGCThreads=15 -Xmx6G

 

What type of cable I used: It said VGA cable 8 pin PCIE

@FolksNation VGA 8 Pin for power on your GPU? What goes from the GPU to your monitor?

An 8 pin PCIE should be supplemental power to your GPU. If you are using a VGA cable to go from the GPU to monitor, it's 15 pin, but not supported by your GPU so there would have to be an adapter.
