LCD screen persistence

My windows task bar stays there even when I play games and so on. It's not very noticeable but it's very annoying. It's an LCD MSI monitor. I let it run a video of a blank white screen for 5 hours and nothing happened. Now I'm trying a different video of moving objects. Is there any other way to fix this?

Thats a screen burn in. There is no fix for that.

Does it happen as well when you connect it to a different computer with a different cable?

'some' LCD do suffer for image retention, but only a few, and its only temporary (minutes). Permanent image retention / burn-in isnt really a thing for LCD's, u'd have to be VERY harsh on them for a VERY long time for it happen.

Most times i've seen this sort of thing its a result of a defect. If ur within warranty get the manufacturer to sort it out ...or retailer if its new.

Can you try it with a different cable on the same computer? I've had a weird similarish issue with one of my monitors, where the line of the top of the taskbar would stay in in some weird way. If I remember correctly changing the cable fixed that, but I'm not 100% sure.

If you have bad burn in you may have to just deal with it or get the monitor repaired/replaced.
