Hello everyone! First time on this forum and made it because Linus told me to (well he advised looking on his forum for help). I recently had a buddy help me build my current rig but i honestly feel like it is nowhere near what it should be when it comes to graphical performance, all of this came to fruition when I loaded up Forza Horizon 4 for the first time on PC and a few minutes of building a car my whole PC shuts down. I have not had any issues with other games when it comes to my computer shutting down but i also feel like the other games are not being fed enough frames. Here is my build in broad strokes...

Motherboard: Asus Prime X570-Pro

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3800X

GPU: Asus ROG RTX 2080 Ti 11GB OC

RAM: Viper 16GB DDR4 1600 MHz x2 (32GB total)  I feel like this may be it

PSU: Corsair 1200HXi

Can provide any further information upon request just looking for guidance on what could be holding it back and making it feel slugish. (RGB isnt helping even though it should)

He said 1600 X2 so it is 3200Mhz. 1600Mhz DDR4 doesn't exist at all.

Please download and run one of the many benchmarks available, I recommend 3DMark but you can do Superposition or Valley if you choose. When its done post a screenshot of the results.

This will stress the system and give us a number for performance.

Have you updated your motherboard's BIOS to the latest version? What do your CPU/GPU temps look like while gaming? Have you done any overclocking that could possibly lead to an instability, causing your system to crash? I doubt that the PSU could be the problem, if you purchased it new, but you never know I guess. If you have any other PSU lying around, you could try running the system with it and see if any of the problems persist.

@Constantin I would assume OP took the 1600MHz from something like CPU-Z, where it is being shown before being doubled (hence the name "Double Data Rate").

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC
