I was testing cs with my new cpu , ram and mb and my mouse movement felt really sluggish / heavy , i couldnt hit any shots , so idk why but i decided to change resolution and the regular snappy ness was back. Same thing just happened in R6S but the thing is im not really used to these resolutions and i would like to understand why this is happening and how i can have the regular 'snappyness' with 1920x1080 aka native res.

Thanks!

What fps are you getting at the higher res?

Pretty much the same approx 170 in siege

So 1920x1080 is native resolution, so what is the other res? How did you set that resolution?

Check if you're at that higher resolution if your screen still runs at the native refresh rate (e.g. that it does run at 30Hz).

Please run a benchmark with fraps and analyze it with frafs to see the 1% low fps, that might be worse while average is the same.

The working res is 1600x1200 and im pretty sure basically any other res in 16:9 ar (other ar's dont seem to work) , i just set it by changing the settings.

Ill check with fraps now , thanks.

1600x1200 is not 16:9. Are you thinking of 1600x900?

If it's actually 1600x1200 and your trying to display 1920x1080 on it, it might have more to do with either your GPU or monitor having a hard time displaying that different resolution.

Do you have any mouse smoothing turned on in game or in Windows?

I wanna say that mouse travel is pixel related so the more pixels you have displayed the further the mouse needs to travel.  With that you may need to setup a new mouse profile (sensitivity, DPI, etc) if you're moving to a higher resolution screen.

Yeah nevermind that my aspec ratio was set to 'Resolution' and res was 1600x1200

And actually after all the setting changes the problem seems to have solved itself going back to the regular feeling of snappyness, very interesting machine.

Thank you for your help anyways!
