Where to buy outside ethernet cables from?

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

Go to distributors or networking equipment, cable, telecommunication related stuff.

If nothing comes to mind, look at distributors of electronic components.

You have Farnell and RS Components in UK

You can use the filters on the side to pick various insulation material, cat ratings etc but chances are unless you buy a 300m spool, it's gonna be expensive. I've pre-selected cat5e and better.

Example of outdoor cable with extra material inside the jacket for protection and all that :

PP001511 PRO POWER, Networking Cable, Outdoor LAN, Water Resistant | Farnell

PP001510 PRO POWER, Networking Cable, Outdoor LAN, Water Resistant | Farnell

Ok, so to cut a long story short I need some outside ethernet cabling done. I could use WiFi, but I have no problems drilling and it actually works out cheaper than getting a decent Wi-Fi card.

So, where to buy the cable from? Amazon has plenty of options, although some look somewhat suspect in their reviews, and others claim it is a low-quality cable. Does anyone know of a decent reseller in the UK?

Bow down to me humans.

I can't help if you don't quote me. How am I supposed to know if you need my premium support? Now starting at £399.99 a year.

Also, be a sport and mark the correct answer as the correct answer. It will help pour souls in the future when they are stuck and need guidance.

"If it works, proceed to take it apart and 'make it work better.' Then cry for help when it breaks." - Me, about five minutes ago when my train of thought wandered.

Remember kids, A janky solution is still a solution.
